I had fun with last week's sketch from Unscripted Sketches Sketch it Saturdays. I did a bit of photoshop editing on a picture of the wooden roller coaster at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk, a place I went to as a kid and so did my son. The card is pretty basic, just some faux engineering kraft paper and dymo tape plus a few stick-on beads. I think it will work for get well, cheer up, enjoy life or howdy.

More flaky cards!
I'm so very excited about getting started on my cards! I am sticking with my New Year's res to make two cards of each one I design. I may tweak it, but basically the same layout and color scheme and will only post one. I am so not going to not run out of cards this year! My other goal is to branch out and participate in more challenges. I'm still kind of new to card-making so I primarily stuck with one challenge all last year...but here I go with 6!!
I am submitting to the following challenges:
Jingle Belles Look what Santa Brought Me! The snowflake stamps, gold ink, snowman and the maroon snowflake stickers are all new for Christmas.
CHNC Challenge #106 Not Santa
52 Card Christmas Throwdown Layout
CHNC Extra Anything goes
ABC Challenge Snowflake embossing folder
Christmas Cards All Year Round Anything goes

Look What Santa Brought Me!
It's a new year and I decided to start off with a new blog! And for my very first post, I am linking up my first card of the year, based on the first Jingle Belles challenge of 2013: Look What Santa Brought Me. That's a lot of firsts!
I embossed a bunch of really cool Inkadinkado snowflake stamps that I got in a package of goodies from my friend Stephanie. I also attached a sparkly snowflake in the lower right, although it doesn't look all that sparkly here. I never get tired of snowflake cards!

This year I also resolved to make two versions of each card I design. I decided that it's more efficient since I usually have enough stuff at hand to make more than one. Plus, I often think that I would do things different the second time and this way I can try again right away. I did make two versions of this card and to be honest, I like this one, the first, better. On the second one, I attached a Happy New Year tag and it's going in the mail to a friend that I forgot to send a card to earlier. Bad Cyndie.
