Look What Santa Brought Me!

It's a new year and I decided to start off with a new blog! And for my very first post, I am linking up my first card of the year, based on the first Jingle Belles challenge of 2013: Look What Santa Brought Me. That's a lot of firsts!

I embossed a bunch of really cool Inkadinkado snowflake stamps that I got in a package of goodies from my friend Stephanie. I also attached a sparkly snowflake in the lower right, although it doesn't look all that sparkly here. I never get tired of snowflake cards!

This year I also resolved to make two versions of each card I design. I decided that it's more efficient since I usually have enough stuff at hand to make more than one. Plus, I often think that I would do things different the second time and this way I can try again right away. I did make two versions of this card and to be honest, I like this one, the first, better. On the second one, I attached a Happy New Year tag and it's going in the mail to a friend that I forgot to send a card to earlier. Bad Cyndie.

  2. What an awesome idea to make dual cards (I just used that same technique when making samples for CHA ... changing the second one just a bit). I adore those embossed snowflakes on kraft (and the fun new blog) ... so very glad you're starting-off 2013 with us at jingle belles.

  3. Now that's what I call a good start of the year: new blog, new goodies, an early start on making Christmas cards and being featured on the JB blog with this wonderful card. Like you, I'm also trying to make dual cards this year. It's a great way to build up your stash and you get to correct the mistakes/tiny flaws/things you don't like (take your pick) or try a different approach LOL.
