Heading out to a little barbecue and cooking competition shortly; I managed to get my prep done early so I decided to do a card challenge, something I love to do but don't seem to have time for very often these days. Today I tried my hand at Muse Challenge #24. The inspiration card by Laurie Willison has a great chartreus-y green and black color combo and a bold, textured design. I tried to capture the bold feel and colors using some scrapbook papers that I've had for a while. They look a bit more gold in the picture than in the flesh, uh, I mean paper. Not sure if you can see the reddish smudges on the patterned paper...but that's the paper...not my inky fingers, for once! Hope your 4th is superb!
I love your gorgeous card - these colours are so pretty and your design is fab! Hugs xx
ReplyDeleteLove this - what a fun take on Laurie's Muse! It has all the elements, but is also completely your own! So glad you played along!
