I (heart) vintage Christmas
I broke out these pretty My Mind's Eye vintage-y papers for the Jingle Belles challenge to make a card with a vintage or retro vibe. I love love love coordinated papers because they're so...coordinated. Used Sweet Sunday Sketch #278 for the layout, inked around the paper with blue chalk ink, added some ecru lace and a vintage looking sentiment and Bob's your uncle! OK, it's a little busy. Oh well. It reminds me of when I was a kid and my dad picked out my clothes. Stripes and plaids Dad?? He was hopeless.
I'm also submitting to the Merry Monday Challenge #167 to make a Christmas card featuring hearts and Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra (anything goes every month).

I think you rocked the multi-patterned design (yep, I have pictures wearing some of those same outfit combinations) ... I really love how the inked edge adds definition and the lacy trim is lovely ... so very glad you joined us for our Old Fashioned Christmas at Jingle Belles.
ReplyDeleteYou have really captured a vintage feel with those lovely papers and lace. Thanks for sharing at CHN Christmas extra for July.
