Continuing with my New Year resolution to complete a scrapbook for my son in time for Christmas (2 pages/week), I made a double page layout based on the Stick it Down January Double Page Layout. Good news, two more pages are completed. Bad news, it's not at all what I had in mind. Here's the sketch, which I love.
And here's my creation, which I don't love:
Just too busy for me and I think I just tried to use too many different elements. All the papers are from the same collection but still it doesn't quite work.
Cyndie thanks so much for joining us this month at Stick It Down! I'm sooo glad you joined our Double Page Challenge too! Your tags are the BEST! I especially love that cute little onsie!
ReplyDeleteThank Bethany! I have to admit that's my favorite as well.
DeleteVery fun two pager. Thanks for playing along with us at Stick it Down.

Thanks Colleen, I love the SID challenges!
DeleteYou've done well to finish two more pages. Don't be too hard on yourself, not every page has to be a masterpiece. Getting the memories scrapped is the goal. Thanks for playing along with us at Stick It Down.
ReplyDeleteThanks Cathy...that's exactly what I'm figuring out. If I need every page to be a masterpiece, too many of the photos will stay in a box or on the computer...that's not good!
DeleteI love how this turned out :) So many wonderful photos on the 2nd side on the layout :) really fun idea. Thank you for joining us over at Stick It Down.
ReplyDeleteTina DT
Thanks Tina! I wasn't sure if it worked but now I definitely like it.
DeleteI love this! All the tags and die cuts work so well together with these photos! Thanks for joining us at Stick it Down!

SID DT
Thanks Lauren! I'm a novice but it helps a lot having the inspiration from the DT!
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet layout for a Baby Shower, I don't think it is too busy at all the tags with baby embellishments are perfect! Including multiple photos along the right side was a great way to commemorate all the attendees. Thanks for playing along at SID!
ReplyDeleteYou shouldn't be too hard on yourself, your layout does have plenty of potential! The sketch was a rather busy one, so the layout is likely to be, too. I love all those photos you collaged together on the one side, and how you separated others, to draw the attention to them! Thanks for joining us this month at Stick It Down!
